phone: +34 933653203 BiographyXavier Anguera Miró is apermanent research scientist in the Multimedia Research group at Telefonica I+D in Barcelona. Prior to joining the research group he worked in the Speech Technologies group at Telefonica. In the past he has been part of the speech research groups at Panasonic, UPC (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya) and ICSI (International Computer Science Institute). Appart from research I also enjoy public speaking. I am a member of Barcelona Prestigious Speakers club. From time to time I also enjoy ballroom dancing and argentine tango. Research Interests: Multimedia information retrieval, also called multimedia indexing. I focus my research on automatic algorithms to extract information from audio, images, video and how to combine the systems outputs in a serial or parallel architechture to enhance results.
